Iron Man's suit is built to be sleek, lightweight, and aerodynamic, ideal for high-speed flight and looking cool. Look at Tony's flight feats and abilities against the two F-22 Raptors, the Hammer Drones, the Chitauri, and the Ultron Bots. Granted, it would take some damage itself, but not as much as it would if it tried to push it's way through four feet of concrete.What type of damage did the Iron Monger tank that Tony couldn't in the same or even in later moviesNothing, because Iron Monger was never really hit with anything that could come close to destroying it until the massive EMP surge at the end.
