今回、筆者は滞在ホテルもリスボン中心地のROSSIO駅だったためリスボアカードを購入するか悩んだのですが、世界遺産であるリスボンに長期滞在する場合は72時間カードでもいいかもしれませんが、個人的には24時間有効のリスボアカードで一気に主要観光名所を巡るのがオススメ。リスボンは、観光名所が割と徒歩圏内にギュッと集中しているので、トラムや電車を頻繁に利用しなくても１日で主要箇所を巡ることができます。リスボアカードは、リスボンの街中にある観光のインフォメンションセンター【Ask me】で購入ができます。Ask meは、インフォメーションマークが表示されていて、リスボンカードの看板も出ているので、見つけやすい！今回、Cais do Sodré駅から電車にてVELEM駅まで行ったのですが、乗車から数駅したところで途中で車掌さんから切符の確認がありました。リスボアカードが使える施設では優先入場ができる場所がほとんどで、リスボアカード専用のレーンがあります。ベレンの塔など、人気観光施設では長蛇の列ができているので、先頭側に行かないとリスボアカード専用レーンの看板が見つけづらいですが、必ずレーンが設置されているので一般列の横から進んで行ってOK。リスボアカードを持っている人の専用レーンがあるのですが、入場列が長すぎて最後尾からは確認できないくらい前に看板が立っています。テージョ川のほとりに建てられた、大航海時代のヴァスコ・ダ・ガマをはじめとした３３人の偉人の記念碑であり、ベレン地区のシンボルでもあります。外観は無料で見ることができますが、リスボアカードを持っていいれば20%オフで発見のモニュメントにも登ることができます。無料で利用できるエレベーターが多いですが、このサンタジュスタのエレベーターは高さ４５mにものぼり、迫力満点。コメルシオ広場にある凱旋門【勝利のアーチ（Arco da Rua Augusta）】もリスボアカードで登れます。リスボンカードで入場する場合は、受付にて一度チケットに交換が必要。チケットは退場時にも必要となるので無くさないように注意！
