Throughout this series, I appreciate the heavy mythology intertwined--it's heavier than in the Rebirth series, and the way it's done here I like more than in the New 52.
But overall, it was a good read, and I’m eager to check out the next volume when it arrives later this year.This was a very good collection, but out also reminded me why I don't like DC generally. In “Eyes of the Gorgon” I really like the set up and the way the confrontation between Wonder Woman and Medousa was built up. It's a storyline that shows Diana's greatest strengths as a hero and the avatar of truth, while also pitting her against a fantastic selection of villains.Not anywhere near as good as the first volume by Rucka. Although, this was heavier on the Mythology side. From battling Medusa on live television to ambassadorial intrigue to a quest into the depths of Tartarus, this arc has everything you want in a Wonder Woman book. If you have a preference for either one, I would say there’s enough to keep you satisfied either way.
I know Rucka didn't actually finish his run with this book (there are a few issues after this volume), but it almost feels complete - It's a shame that he couldn't wrap up a few story lines due to the DC event happening at the time. Wonder Woman by Greg Rucka Vol. I enjoyed both stories the same.

This whole arc (two rather thick TPBs) by Greg Rucka was a real chore to get through. Wonder Woman by Greg Rucka, Vol. July 11th 2017 here he was given a sadness quest, wanting to chanNot anywhere near as good as the first volume by Rucka. I think Rucka does a great job merging Diana’s Greek Mythology side with the non-Mythology side. I thought the fight between the two was pretty badass and it contains one of my favourite Wonder Woman moments.
From an epic battle with the Gorgon Medusa, to a genuine period of self sacrifice, I absolutely love every second of this story. Greg Rucka's depiction of her in this series is my favorite.

I am just one of those rare non-fans of the Azzarello run... and liked it much more when the Finches took over. Things turn out right in the end, at least if this arc, and it WAS very well written. I said in my Volume 1 review that it was strange coming in to find all of the things I loved about this run were in another volume, but this is that volume. But overall, it was a good read, and I’m eager to check out the next volume when it arrives I really like Rucka’s take on Wonder Woman and how he weaves together the mythological with the sociopolitical while still keeping Diana’s upstanding and unshakable morality at the forefront.
